Position Overview
As Plant Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the efficient, safe, and profitable operation of the manufacturing plant. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimize production performance, develop high-performing teams, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all plant operations to achieve production, quality, cost, delivery, and safety objectives.
- Foster a culture of safety excellence and ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through proactive management activities and World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that improve productivity, efficiency, and plant performance.
- Manage plant budgets, monitor financial performance, and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
- Lead capital investment and improvement projects from planning through execution.
- Ensure effective project management practices across operational and strategic initiatives.
- Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team while promoting employee engagement and accountability.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives and operational excellence.
- Monitor operational risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Drive sustainable manufacturing practices and support the organization’s environmental commitments.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and key business partners through effective negotiation and communication.
Requirements
Education
- Degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or equivalent.
- Master’s Degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in manufacturing, mining, or similar operations at middle to senior management level.
- Previous manufacturing and/or heavy engineering industry experience is essential.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of safety, environmental, and quality management systems.
- Proven experience in proactive management activities and World Class Manufacturing (WCM).
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Sound financial understanding, budgeting, and cost control skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
