Position Overview
As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of materials and finished products. You will play a key role in maintaining inventory accuracy, enforcing safety standards, and leading warehouse personnel to achieve operational targets.
The successful candidate will combine strong organizational skills with effective leadership capabilities to ensure smooth warehouse operations and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely receipt, verification, and recording of incoming materials and products.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular stock counts and support inventory reconciliation activities.
- Coordinate the safe storage and movement of materials in accordance with company procedures and food safety standards.
- Oversee the preparation and dispatch of goods to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Maintain warehouse documentation, records, and reporting requirements.
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse personnel to achieve operational objectives.
- Monitor employee performance and promote a culture of accountability and teamwork.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and warehouse operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, inventory accuracy, and operational performance.
- Collaborate with production, procurement, logistics, and quality teams to support business objectives.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or a related role.
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food processing, or similar industrial environments will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience supervising warehouse teams and coordinating inventory activities.
