Position Overview
The Human Resources Officer will report directly to management and take full responsibility for managing the employee lifecycle and overseeing key administrative HR functions. The role requires a balance of strategic HR execution, employee engagement, and strict compliance with internal policies and Ghanaian labour regulations.

The successful candidate will maintain efficient HR systems, support a positive workplace culture, and ensure all personnel processes are properly documented and consistently applied.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Lead the full recruitment cycle, including drafting job descriptions, advertising roles, screening applications, and conducting interviews
- Coordinate structured onboarding programmes to ensure smooth integration of new employees
- Maintain recruitment records and ensure timely communication with candidates
Policy Development & Compliance
- Update and enforce HR policies and staff handbook in line with the Ghana Labour Act
- Ensure organisational compliance with internal HR standards and statutory requirements
- Advise management on HR compliance matters and workplace regulations
Performance Management
- Implement and manage periodic performance appraisal systems
- Distribute evaluation tools and ensure timely completion of staff reviews
- Analyse performance data and prepare reports for management decision-making
Personnel Records & Administration
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records (digital and physical)
- Manage attendance tracking, leave administration, and contract renewals
- Ensure HR documentation is properly filed and up to date
Employee Relations & Staff Welfare
- Act as the primary contact for employee concerns, grievances, and workplace disputes
- Promote positive employee relations and support staff welfare initiatives
- Assist management in maintaining a healthy and productive workplace culture
Job Requirements
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience
- 2–3 years of proven experience in HR or administrative management
Knowledge
- Strong understanding of Ghanaian Labour Law and industrial relations practices
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organisational and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) at intermediate to advanced level
- High attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
