Position Summary
Ghacem Ltd is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Supervisor to oversee daily production operations and ensure the efficient, safe, and cost-effective execution of manufacturing activities. The successful candidate will lead production teams, drive operational excellence, maintain quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives to achieve organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Production Operations Management
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure efficient and uninterrupted operations.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure production targets are achieved within established timelines.
- Optimize the utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity.
- Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks that may impact production performance.
- Coordinate shift activities to maintain seamless production flow and operational continuity.
Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead, motivate, and supervise production employees to achieve departmental goals and performance targets.
- Assign work responsibilities and monitor employee productivity and performance.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and on-the-job training to enhance team capabilities.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support performance management and employee development initiatives.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Champion compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, toolbox talks, and workplace safety assessments.
- Ensure employees consistently use the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Report, investigate, and support the resolution of workplace incidents and near-miss events.
- Foster a strong safety culture across all production operations.
Quality Assurance & Process Control
- Monitor production processes to ensure products consistently meet established quality standards.
- Enforce compliance with operational procedures, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Investigate quality deviations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to minimize defects, waste, and process variation.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track key production performance indicators and prepare accurate operational reports.
- Monitor productivity, equipment downtime, waste levels, and efficiency metrics.
- Analyze production data and recommend initiatives to improve operational performance.
- Communicate production results, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities to management.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Participate in lean manufacturing, process optimization, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Support the implementation of productivity enhancement and performance improvement projects.
- Encourage innovation and the adoption of best practices across the production team.
Equipment & Resource Management
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance requirements with relevant teams.
- Ensure machinery and production equipment operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with operational standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance personnel to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
- Maintain effective inventory control and material management within the production area.
Qualifications & Experience
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, Production Management, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in a production, manufacturing, or industrial operations environment.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in managing production teams and achieving operational targets.
- Experience within manufacturing, processing, industrial production, cement production, or related sectors will be an added advantage.
