Position Summary

The Business Development Officer will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, promoting the medical center’s services, and supporting initiatives that drive organizational growth and sustainability.

The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing market visibility, strengthening client relationships, and supporting the achievement of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Generate and follow up on leads from corporate organizations, institutions, and community groups.
  • Support the development of new healthcare service initiatives and growth opportunities.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Engage corporate organizations, insurance providers, educational institutions, and community groups to promote the medical center’s services.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and service information to potential partners and clients.
  • Ensure excellent stakeholder engagement and customer satisfaction.

Marketing & Community Engagement

  • Support marketing and outreach activities aimed at increasing brand awareness and service utilization.
  • Represent the medical center at community events, networking activities, health campaigns, and business forums.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote healthcare programs and special initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas and strategies that enhance the organization’s visibility and reputation.

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities and client interactions.
  • Prepare periodic reports on business development performance and outcomes.
  • Track business opportunities and monitor progress against targets.
  • Support contract preparation, partnership agreements, and other related documentation.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements

Candidates must possess:

  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Communications, Public Relations, Healthcare Management, or a related field.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in business development, marketing, sales, customer relationship management, or a related field.
  • Experience within the healthcare sector will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop partnerships, generate leads, and support business growth initiatives.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.

Location Requirement

Applicants must reside in or around Mataheko, Dansoman, Kaneshie, or nearby communities.
