Position Summary
The Manager, Corporate Affairs, Events & Marketing will support the Director, Legal & Corporate Affairs in leading and coordinating the Institute’s corporate communications, branding, marketing, stakeholder engagement, and events management functions. The role is responsible for strengthening the Institute’s visibility, reputation, and influence while ensuring effective communication with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulators, members, development partners, and the general public.

The successful candidate will also serve as the Institute’s lead moderator and Master of Ceremonies (MC) for major institutional events, conferences, stakeholder engagements, and official functions involving senior government officials, Council Members, local and international partners, and industry leaders.
Key Responsibilities
Corporate Affairs & Strategic Communications
- Develop and implement corporate communication strategies that support the Institute’s strategic objectives and statutory mandate.
- Manage the Institute’s corporate image, reputation, and public relations activities.
- Prepare and review corporate communications, speeches, presentations, press releases, reports, and official correspondence.
- Oversee media relations and ensure consistent and positive engagement with the media.
- Develop communication plans for key institutional initiatives, projects, and stakeholder engagements.
- Monitor public perception and recommend proactive communication interventions.
Events & Institutional Programmes Management
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of conferences, annual meetings, forums, seminars, workshops, awards programmes, and special events.
- Develop event strategies that enhance stakeholder participation and institutional visibility.
- Coordinate event logistics, vendor management, budgeting, sponsorship engagements, and protocol arrangements.
- Ensure the successful delivery of high-quality events that align with the Institute’s standards and objectives.
- Evaluate event outcomes and recommend continuous improvement measures.
Marketing & Brand Management
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the Institute’s programmes, services, and initiatives.
- Strengthen and protect the Institute’s brand identity across all communication channels.
- Oversee digital marketing, social media engagement, publications, and promotional campaigns.
- Monitor marketing performance and provide insights to improve visibility, engagement, and impact.
- Drive initiatives that enhance membership value, stakeholder awareness, and institutional recognition.
Moderation & High-Level Event Facilitation
- Serve as the Institute’s principal moderator and Master of Ceremonies for official events and engagements.
- Facilitate high-level discussions, panel sessions, conferences, and stakeholder forums with professionalism and confidence.
- Prepare event scripts, speaker briefs, and programme flow documents.
- Ensure smooth event proceedings while maintaining protocol and professional standards.
- Represent the Institute effectively during public engagements and external events.
Stakeholder Engagement & Institutional Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, regulators, professional bodies, development partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Support advocacy and stakeholder engagement initiatives that advance the Institute’s objectives.
- Coordinate strategic partnerships and collaborative programmes.
- Promote effective communication and engagement with members and key stakeholder groups.
Leadership & Departmental Management
- Support the Director, Legal & Corporate Affairs in providing strategic direction for the Corporate Affairs, Events & Marketing function.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members to achieve departmental objectives.
- Manage departmental work plans, budgets, and performance targets.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
- Prepare management reports and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline will be an advantage.
- Professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM-UK), Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), or the Institute of Public Relations (IPR), Ghana.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of relevant experience in corporate affairs, communications, marketing, public relations, or events management.
- Demonstrated experience in moderating professional events or serving as a Master of Ceremonies (MC) for high-level functions.
- Proven track record in developing and executing strategic communication, branding, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Experience within a professional body, regulatory institution, membership organisation, or corporate environment will be an advantage.
