Position Summary

Peduase Valley Resort is seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our grounds and landscaping team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the beauty, cleanliness, and health of the resort’s gardens, lawns, trees, and landscaped areas.

This role is ideal for an individual who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining attractive green spaces, and is committed to creating a welcoming environment for guests and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, gardens, flower beds, shrubs, and landscaped areas throughout the resort.
• Plant, water, prune, weed, and fertilize flowers, trees, and ornamental plants.
• Monitor plant health and take appropriate measures to prevent or address pests and diseases.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools, equipment, and irrigation systems.
• Ensure outdoor spaces remain clean, attractive, and well-maintained at all times.
• Assist in landscaping projects and the development of new garden features.
• Remove debris, dead plants, and other materials to maintain a neat environment.
• Monitor and report maintenance needs affecting outdoor areas.
• Adhere to environmental, health, and safety standards in all gardening activities.
• Support the overall presentation and aesthetic appeal of the resort grounds.

Educational Requirements

• Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscape Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of relevant experience in gardening, landscaping, horticulture, or grounds maintenance.
• Good knowledge of plants, flowers, trees, lawn care, and landscaping practices.
• Ability to operate gardening tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Understanding of plant care techniques, pest management, and irrigation systems.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
