Position Summary
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market coverage, managing customer relationships, and achieving assigned sales targets. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, strengthen distributor and retail partnerships, and execute effective route-to-market strategies across assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development
- Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the company’s revenue growth objectives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the FMCG market.
- Expand the customer base by acquiring new retail, wholesale, and distributor accounts.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to encourage repeat business and long-term partnerships.
Customer and Distributor Management
- Build and manage productive relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key trade partners.
- Conduct regular customer visits to monitor product availability, merchandising, and market performance.
- Resolve customer concerns promptly while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Market Execution
- Execute route-to-market strategies to maximize product availability and market penetration.
- Implement merchandising activities that enhance product visibility and sales performance.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and market trends, providing timely market intelligence to management.
Sales Planning and Reporting
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance updates.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM or mobile sales applications to manage sales activities and reporting.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales data to support business decision-making.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the marketing, distribution, and operations teams to ensure efficient product delivery and successful promotional activities.
- Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve sales performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Requirements
- Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications & Media Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ proven sales experience within the FMCG food and beverage industry.
- Experience selling beverages, packaged foods, rice, cooking oil, pasta, confectionery, or similar FMCG products is highly preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of Accra and Kumasi, including key trade routes, traditional markets, retail outlets, and distribution channels.
- Must currently reside in Accra or Kumasi.
- Valid driver’s licence with the willingness to travel extensively within and between both cities.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Good understanding of trade marketing, merchandising, and route-to-market strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using CRM systems, mobile sales reporting applications, and other modern sales and marketing tools.
- Strong customer relationship management and business development skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.

- Valid Ghana Card and other relevant identification documents.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
Compensation and Benefits
- Negotiable base salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Performance-based commission linked to sales targets achieved.
- SSNIT contributions in accordance with Ghanaian labour regulations.
