Key Responsibilities
As a State Attorney, you will:
- Represent the Republic of Ghana in civil and criminal proceedings before the courts.
- Conduct legal research and provide sound legal opinions and advice to Government Ministries, Departments, Agencies, and other public institutions.
- Prepare, review, and draft pleadings, legal opinions, contracts, legislation, regulations, and other legal documents.
- Prosecute criminal cases and manage assigned litigation effectively.
- Represent the Office in negotiations, mediations, and other dispute resolution processes where required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional standards.
- Maintain accurate records of assigned cases and prepare reports as required.
- Perform other legal and administrative duties assigned in support of the mandate of the Office.
Qualification Required & Experience
Applicants must:
- Have been called to the Ghana Bar.
- Possess the requisite post-call experience applicable to the grade being applied for.
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of Ghanaian law, legal research, advocacy, and legal drafting.
- Possess excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate high ethical standards, integrity, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

- Pupillage Certificate (where applicable).
- Proof of date of birth.
