Compliance Officer

Position Summary

Peduase Valley Resort is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to promote and maintain a culture of compliance across the Resort. The successful candidate will ensure that the Resort adheres to applicable laws, regulations, internal policies, and industry standards while supporting ethical business practices and minimizing operational risks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote a culture of compliance and ethical conduct throughout the Resort.
  • Monitor compliance with applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and hospitality industry standards.
  • Develop, implement, and review compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Conduct routine compliance audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Investigate compliance concerns and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate compliance records, reports, and documentation.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and advise Management on their operational impact.
  • Coordinate compliance training and awareness programmes for employees.
  • Work closely with department heads to strengthen internal controls and ensure policy adherence.
  • Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Identify compliance risks and recommend practical solutions to improve operational effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular compliance reports for Management.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Risk Management, Compliance, Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, or Corporate Governance is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in compliance, internal audit, risk management, or a related role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and internal control frameworks.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
