Position Summary

Estel Chemist is seeking a caring, responsible, and customer-focused Pharmacy Assistant (Nurses / Medical Care Assistants) to support daily pharmacy operations. The successful candidate will assist customers, support pharmacists, provide basic healthcare guidance within their scope of practice, and help maintain an efficient and welcoming pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist customers professionally while providing excellent service.
• Support pharmacists with daily pharmacy operations and customer care activities.
• Assist customers with approved health products and provide basic guidance within professional limits.
• Receive and process customer requests while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support the dispensing process under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
• Monitor and maintain proper storage of medicines and healthcare products.
• Assist with stock management, including checking inventory levels and expiry dates.
• Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and pharmacy activities.
• Keep the pharmacy environment clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Follow company procedures, healthcare standards, and safety guidelines.
• Provide support during health screening or customer care activities where required.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Pharmacist or Management.

Qualifications and Skills

• Certificate, Diploma, or relevant qualification in Nursing, Medical Care Assistance (MCA), Pharmacy Assistance, or a related healthcare field.
• Valid professional certification or registration where applicable.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, clinic, hospital, or healthcare environment is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of medicines, healthcare products, and patient care practices.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach.
• Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills are an added advantage.
