Senior Assistant Registrar – General Administration (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Registrar and University Management in the coordination of institutional operations.
- Assist in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of administrative policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.
- Coordinate and supervise activities within assigned administrative units to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Support the preparation and organization of University Council meetings, Management Committee meetings, and other official engagements.
- Review and manage official correspondence, reports, records, and institutional documentation in accordance with approved procedures.
- Provide administrative guidance to departments, faculties, schools, and directorates on University policies, regulations, and procedures.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, and partner institutions, on administrative matters.
- Support the preparation of institutional reports, policy documents, submissions, and administrative briefs.
- Monitor compliance with University statutes, public service regulations, and applicable administrative requirements.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative systems and processes.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to administrative staff where assigned.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Registrar, Vice-Chancellor, or University Council.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:
- Relevant academic and professional qualifications in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management Studies, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated experience in university administration or a comparable public institution.
- Strong understanding of administrative procedures, institutional governance, policy implementation, and records management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, organizational, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer applications.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- High levels of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
