Food Nutrition Officer (Full-Time)
Location: Kasoa, Ghana

Key Responsibilities
- Assess the nutritional needs of individuals, groups, or programme beneficiaries and develop appropriate nutrition interventions.
- Develop and implement nutrition education programmes that promote healthy eating habits and lifestyle practices.
- Provide evidence-based nutrition counselling and dietary guidance to clients, staff, or programme participants.
- Design balanced meal plans and provide recommendations that align with nutritional requirements and organizational standards.
- Monitor and evaluate nutrition programmes to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Conduct nutrition assessments, collect relevant data, and prepare technical reports to support programme planning and decision-making.
- Promote food safety, hygiene, and quality standards in food preparation and handling.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, healthcare professionals, educators, and community stakeholders to deliver integrated nutrition services.
- Support health promotion campaigns, outreach activities, and community education initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation in accordance with organizational policies and professional standards.
- Stay informed on current nutrition research, public health guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management within the scope of the role.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Science, Public Health Nutrition, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 2–5 years’ relevant professional experience in nutrition, dietetics, community health, food service management, or a related field.
- Knowledge of nutrition assessment, meal planning, food safety, and health promotion principles.
- Strong analytical, communication, counselling, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience preparing reports, managing nutrition data, and monitoring programme outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to ethical practice.
