Role Summary

The Mathematics Teacher will deliver engaging and effective mathematics instruction that develops students’ analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and conceptual understanding. The successful candidate will create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes academic achievement while supporting the school’s commitment to excellence and Christian values.

Key Responsibilities

As the Mathematics Teacher, you will:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum and educational standards.
• Teach mathematical concepts using innovative and student-centred instructional strategies.
• Foster critical thinking, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills through interactive learning experiences.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students.
• Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback to support academic progress.
• Monitor student performance and implement appropriate intervention strategies where needed.
• Integrate technology and digital learning tools to enhance mathematics instruction.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment that encourages active participation.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support students’ academic and personal development.
• Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development programmes, school events, and continuous school improvement initiatives.
• Uphold and model the school’s Christian values in all interactions with students, colleagues, and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or professional teaching licence.

Experience

• Previous teaching experience in a primary or secondary school environment is preferred.
• Experience teaching the American, International, or International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum is an advantage.
• Experience using technology to support mathematics instruction is highly desirable.
