Job Summary

The Doctors Office is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Medical Officer to provide comprehensive medical care to patients while supporting the delivery of safe, effective, and evidence-based healthcare services. The successful candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes and contribute to the continuous improvement of clinical services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage patients in accordance with established clinical guidelines.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans based on patients’ medical needs.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic investigations.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records.
  • Provide preventive healthcare education and counselling to patients and their families.
  • Collaborate effectively with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated care.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies.
  • Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.
  • Adhere to all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards governing medical practice.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB or equivalent).
  • Full registration and good standing with the Medical and Dental Council of Ghana.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years’ post-qualification clinical experience in a hospital or healthcare facility.
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and patient management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality patient care.
