We are looking for a creative, innovative, and results-driven Social Media Specialist to join our Marketing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing engaging digital content, growing our online presence, strengthening brand awareness, and fostering meaningful engagement with customers, employees, and other stakeholders across our digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

As the Social Media Specialist, you will:

  • Develop, schedule, and manage engaging content across the company’s social media platforms, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant channels.
  • Create compelling text, graphics, images, and video content that aligns with the company’s brand identity and marketing objectives.
  • Plan and maintain a comprehensive content calendar to ensure consistent, timely, and strategic communication.
  • Monitor social media trends, audience engagement, and platform performance to optimise content and campaign effectiveness.
  • Analyse social media metrics and prepare performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Human Resources, Production, and other internal teams to identify and showcase company news, product updates, employee stories, and business achievements.
  • Engage with online audiences by responding promptly to comments, messages, and enquiries while fostering a positive and professional online community.
  • Support the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and brand awareness initiatives.
  • Assist in creating internal communication content that promotes employee engagement and strengthens the company’s culture.
  • Monitor competitor activity and emerging digital marketing trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all published content complies with the company’s brand guidelines and communication standards.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of proven experience managing social media platforms for a corporate brand, organisation, or agency.
  • Demonstrated experience creating engaging digital content and executing successful social media campaigns.
  • Experience working with social media management and analytics platforms such as Meta Business Suite and LinkedIn Analytics.
  • Photography, videography, or video editing experience will be an added advantage.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong storytelling abilities.
  • Creativity and an eye for visual design, branding, and engaging content creation.
  • Strong knowledge of current social media platforms, digital marketing trends, and audience engagement strategies.
  • Proficiency in social media scheduling, analytics, and performance reporting tools.
  • Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with design software such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite will be an advantage.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • High attention to detail, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
