Job Summary
The Wealth Manager will lead relationship management for Petra Trust’s mass affluent segment, serving clients who invest more than GHS 5,000 monthly and contribute significantly to the company’s investment portfolio. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end client advisory experience, drive business development initiatives, enhance client engagement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to grow the segment. This role also provides leadership and coaching to Junior Wealth Managers while driving measurable improvements in client acquisition, retention, portfolio growth, and cross-selling performance.

Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management & Portfolio Advisory
- Manage advisory relationships for the mass affluent client segment and serve as the primary point of contact for high-value clients.
- Provide strategic investment advice, portfolio reviews, and goal-based financial planning recommendations.
- Guide clients in selecting suitable investment products across Petra Trust’s portfolio.
- Proactively monitor client portfolios, identify growth opportunities, and recommend appropriate portfolio adjustments.
- Establish and maintain a structured client engagement programme through regular meetings and proactive communication.
- Resolve complex client inquiries and escalations while ensuring exceptional service delivery.
- Monitor customer support channels to ensure service standards and client satisfaction are consistently achieved.
Business Development & Cross-Selling
- Develop and continuously improve the sales and relationship management strategy for the mass affluent segment.
- Drive new client acquisition and maintain strong conversion rates from prospect engagements.
- Lead presentations, seminars, webinars, networking events, and client engagement initiatives.
- Promote and cross-sell Petra Trust’s investment, insurance, pensions, lending, and housing solutions.
- Develop and execute strategies to reactivate inactive or dormant clients.
- Identify and pursue institutional and corporate investment opportunities that contribute to business growth.
Client Engagement & Content Development
- Develop educational and market-focused content covering investment opportunities, economic trends, financial planning, and portfolio insights.
- Identify exclusive investment opportunities, value-added services, and client benefits tailored to the mass affluent segment.
- Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to improve the client experience and recommend enhancements based on customer insights.
Reporting, Analytics & Strategic Planning
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports on client growth, assets under management, contribution levels, client retention, customer satisfaction, and cross-selling performance.
- Analyze market and customer data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Provide strategic recommendations that support business growth, product development, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Contribute to the organization’s overall investment and wealth management strategy.
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise, mentor, and coach Junior Wealth Managers to enhance their technical and relationship management capabilities.
- Develop structured onboarding, coaching, and professional development plans for junior team members.
- Provide guidance and support on complex client situations and ensure consistent service excellence across the team.
Educational Qualification
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Banking, or a related field.
- Progress toward professional qualifications such as the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), or Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) Investment Advisory Programme will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of three (3) to four (4) years of experience in wealth management, investment advisory, or a senior client-facing role within the financial services industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing and growing portfolios of high-value clients.
- Proven experience in cross-selling financial products, including investments, insurance, pensions, and lending solutions.
- Experience developing and implementing sales, client engagement, or relationship management strategies.
