We are seeking an experienced and strategic Manager, Marketing Communications to lead communication initiatives, strengthen client relationships, and drive excellence across the Communications Department.

Job Summary

The Manager, Marketing Communications will provide strategic leadership for the Communications Department, develop and execute integrated communication strategies, and oversee client engagements to achieve business objectives. The successful candidate will lead high-performing teams, manage key projects, and deliver innovative communication solutions that enhance client success and strengthen the Stratcomm brand.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Communications Department to achieve strategic and operational objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic communication and public relations plans for clients.
  • Provide strategic communications advisory services and guide clients on effective engagement strategies.
  • Manage client accounts and build strong relationships that drive satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance performance and professional growth.
  • Oversee communication projects from planning and execution to monitoring and reporting.
  • Ensure projects meet quality standards, timelines, and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to identify opportunities, support client acquisition, and grow the business.
  • Contribute to initiatives that strengthen the Stratcomm Africa brand and market position.
  • Analyze communication trends, measure campaign performance, and recommend improvements.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ progressive experience in communications, with a proven track record of leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong project management and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Strong analytical, innovative, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Experience providing strategic communications advisory services in a consulting environment.
  • Knowledge of marketing, business development, and client acquisition strategies will be an added advantage.
  • Membership of a recognized Public Relations or Marketing professional body will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver impactful communication solutions in a fast-paced environment.
