We are seeking an experienced and visionary Principal to provide strategic leadership, strengthen academic performance, and build a culture of excellence across the school community.

Job Overview

As the Principal, you will provide visionary leadership and oversee the overall academic, operational, and cultural development of the school. You will work closely with teachers, students, parents, and stakeholders to create a high-performing learning environment that promotes student achievement, staff development, and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong educational leadership, excellent decision-making abilities, and a passion for developing both students and educators.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

Strategic Leadership & School Development

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to achieve the school’s vision, mission, and educational goals.
  • Develop and implement school improvement plans, operational strategies, and performance initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement in academic standards, teaching quality, and student outcomes.
  • Promote innovation and excellence across all areas of school operations.

Academic Leadership

  • Lead curriculum implementation and ensure effective delivery of high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Support academic improvement initiatives through effective monitoring, evaluation, and instructional leadership.
  • Promote best practices in teaching, assessment, and curriculum development.
  • Ensure students receive a well-rounded educational experience that supports academic and personal growth.

Staff Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
  • Build a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
  • Identify professional development opportunities that enhance staff effectiveness.
  • Encourage accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning among employees.

School Operations & Compliance

  • Develop and implement effective school policies, procedures, and operational plans.
  • Ensure compliance with educational regulations, safeguarding requirements, and institutional standards.
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Oversee effective management of school resources and daily operations.

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong and positive relationships with parents, guardians, and key stakeholders.
  • Represent the school professionally within the wider community.
  • Encourage effective communication and collaboration between the school and its stakeholders.
  • Promote student wellbeing and a positive school culture.

Education & Professional Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a related field.
  • A recognized professional teaching qualification.
  • Additional leadership or management qualifications will be an advantage.

Experience

The successful candidate should have:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience in a reputable educational institution.
  • Proven experience managing academic programmes, school operations, and staff teams.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development, instructional leadership, and educational best practices.
