We are looking for an experienced and results-oriented Construction Project Manager to lead the successful planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects. Job Summary
The Construction Project Manager will oversee the complete lifecycle of assigned construction projects, from planning and budgeting through execution, monitoring, and final handover. The successful candidate will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage project resources, engage consultants and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contractual requirements, company standards, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
The Construction Project Manager will:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage construction projects from initiation through completion.
- Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and ensure milestones are achieved within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate project teams to achieve project objectives.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
- Serve as the primary liaison between the company and project consultants.
- Procure and coordinate project resources, including subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Monitor project costs and maintain effective budget control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare accurate project reports and provide regular updates to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
- Apply recognized project management methodologies and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyse project performance data and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and project outcomes.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration across project teams and stakeholders.
- Promote a culture of workplace safety and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements on all project sites.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Technology, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of five (5) years’ proven experience managing projects within the building construction industry.
- Demonstrated experience delivering projects from planning through successful completion.
- Professional certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Construction Specialist (CCS), or an equivalent project management certification will be an added advantage.
