Position Summary

Irago is seeking a proactive, organized, and service-oriented Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our boutique serviced apartment and mixed-use commercial property in Accra. The successful candidate will ensure operational efficiency, maintain high service standards, coordinate facilities and maintenance, and drive continuous improvements that enhance guest satisfaction and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Property Operations

The successful candidate will:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the boutique serviced apartment and mixed-use commercial property.
  • Ensure both properties operate efficiently, professionally, and consistently to high operational standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain clean, safe, functional, and well-maintained facilities.
  • Monitor operational performance and implement improvements that enhance service quality and efficiency.

Hospitality and Guest Experience

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience that reflects the company’s hospitality standards.
  • Support occupancy management, reservations, and smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest enquiries, requests, and operational issues.
  • Foster a welcoming environment that encourages guest satisfaction and repeat business.

Facilities and Maintenance

The successful candidate will:

  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and oversee repairs across both properties.
  • Supervise housekeeping, maintenance personnel, security teams, and external contractors.
  • Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
  • Monitor the condition of property assets and recommend improvements where necessary.

Supplier and Contractor Management

The successful candidate will:

  • Source, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage suppliers and contractors.
  • Build productive relationships that deliver quality services at competitive costs.
  • Monitor contractor performance and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within agreed standards.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with contractual and operational requirements.

Financial and Operational Performance

The successful candidate will:

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while managing costs effectively.
  • Monitor inventories, operational supplies, and purchasing requirements.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and prepare regular management reports.
  • Support budgeting activities and ensure efficient utilization of operational resources.

Process Improvement

The successful candidate will:

  • Continuously evaluate operational systems and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend and implement practical solutions that enhance efficiency, consistency, and service delivery.
  • Develop scalable operational processes that support the company’s continued growth.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Property Management, Facilities Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately one (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience in hospitality operations, property management, facilities management, or a similar operational role.
  • Experience managing serviced apartments, boutique hotels, commercial properties, or mixed-use developments will be an added advantage.
