We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our student support team and provide high-quality communication interventions that empower students to succeed academically, socially, and personally.

Job Overview

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will support students aged 3–18 by assessing communication needs, developing personalized intervention plans, and delivering targeted therapy services. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and a multidisciplinary team to support students with diverse communication needs and ensure speech and language goals are integrated into their learning experience.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, compassion, and a commitment to inclusive education and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Assess and evaluate students’ speech, language, and social communication abilities using standardized and informal assessment tools.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on assessment findings and student needs.
• Provide direct speech and language therapy through one-to-one and small group sessions.
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies to support meaningful outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, progress reports, and student documentation.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate communication goals into classroom instruction and learning activities.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support students with diverse learning and communication needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents and provide practical strategies to support communication development at home.
• Participate in meetings and contribute to Individualized Learning Plans and student support planning.
• Support students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Provide training and guidance to teachers and teaching assistants on strategies for supporting students with communication needs.
• Stay informed about current research and evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development activities, and collaborative planning sessions.

Education & Professional Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Speech and Language Therapy, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or an equivalent qualification.
• A valid professional licence or certification in Speech-Language Pathology / Speech and Language Therapy.

Experience

The successful candidate should have:

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience working with children aged 3–18 in educational, clinical, or developmental settings.
• Experience assessing and supporting children with speech, language, and social communication needs.
• Experience designing and delivering individualized therapy programmes.
• Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
• Experience within an international school environment will be an advantage.

Knowledge and Technical Skills

The ideal candidate will demonstrate knowledge of:

• Speech and language developmental milestones and communication disorders.
• Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.
• Evidence-based speech and language intervention approaches.
• Therapeutic approaches such as PROMPT, V&V, or similar programmes will be an advantage.
• Digital tools and technology, including Google Workspace, Microsoft Word, Excel, and AAC devices.

Working Hours, Schedule & Contract Conditions

• Full-time position based on student needs and caseload requirements.
• The role follows the academic calendar (August – June).
• Working schedule is Monday to Friday.
• The position may begin at three (3) days per week and increase up to five (5) days per week based on student caseload.
