Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Management
- Implement and enforce Company Health and Safety policies, procedures, and workplace safety standards.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify hazards, assess risks, and recommend appropriate control measures.
- Promote safety awareness among employees through training, toolbox talks, and safety communication initiatives.
- Ensure employees comply with occupational health and safety requirements and safe work practices.
Incident Management & Reporting
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare accurate safety reports, maintain HSE records, and track safety performance indicators.
- Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to reduce workplace risks.
- Maintain proper documentation of safety inspections, training activities, and compliance records.
Emergency Preparedness & Compliance
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills, evacuation exercises, and first aid arrangements.
- Support the development and review of emergency response procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable occupational health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Work with Management and employees to continuously improve the Company’s safety culture.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must possess:
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or a related field.
- A recognized certification in Occupational Health and Safety or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ relevant experience in a similar Safety Officer role.
- Practical experience implementing workplace safety programmes and conducting safety inspections.
