Experienced Diamond & RC Drillers (Full-Time)

Position Summary

Vybnest is recruiting experienced, safety-conscious, and results-driven Diamond Drillers and RC Drillers to support drilling operations in remote project locations. The successful candidates will safely operate drilling equipment, maintain high productivity and quality standards, and contribute to a strong safety culture while delivering exceptional service to clients.

This is a full-time position based in Takoradi, Ghana, with roster-based assignments that may require travel to remote operational sites.

• Reverse Circulation (RC) Drillers

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will:

• Safely operate and maintain Diamond or RC drilling rigs and associated equipment.
• Deliver drilling operations in accordance with client specifications while achieving productivity and quality targets.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections, routine servicing, and preventative maintenance of drilling equipment.
• Complete drilling reports, shift records, equipment logs, and safety documentation accurately and on time.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment faults, operational issues, and workplace hazards.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and all health, safety, environmental, and operational standards.
• Lead, coach, and mentor drilling offsiders while promoting a proactive safety culture.
• Maintain clean, organized, and efficient drilling sites.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, maintenance personnel, and project teams to ensure smooth drilling operations.
• Perform any other duties assigned to support operational requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Education

Applicants should possess:

• A minimum of a Senior High School Certificate, Technical/Vocational qualification, or an equivalent certification from a recognized institution.

Experience

Applicants should have:

• Proven experience operating Diamond drilling rigs and/or Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling rigs.
• Demonstrated experience working on exploration or mining drilling projects.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
• Experience working in remote locations under roster-based work schedules.

Required Skills and Competencies

The successful candidates should demonstrate:

• Sound knowledge of Diamond and/or RC drilling techniques and equipment.
• Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental procedures within drilling operations.
• Excellent mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• High level of reliability, professionalism, and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform effectively in physically demanding and remote working environments.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s licence (HR licence will be an advantage).
• Current First Aid Certification is desirable.
• Relevant drilling industry certifications or tickets will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel and work in remote project locations on rostered schedules.
