Role Overview
Maamani Ghana seeks a highly experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to lead financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and financial control activities. You will strengthen financial governance, support strategic decision-making, and ensure accurate and timely financial information across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review accurate financial statements, management reports, and statutory returns
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
- Support audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to management
- Drive cost control initiatives and improve financial efficiency across operations
- Support strategic decision-making through data-driven financial analysis
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA or equivalent) is required
- 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience
- Minimum of 3+ years in a senior financial leadership or supervisory role
- Strong experience in agribusiness, manufacturing, or FMCG environments is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial systems, reporting standards, and tax compliance
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills
