Head of Poultry Production (Poultry Manager) – Full-Time

Role Overview

Maamani Ghana seeks a results-driven and experienced Head of Poultry Production to lead and optimize all poultry operations. You will oversee large-scale production systems, drive productivity, ensure flock health, and implement best practices in commercial egg production. You will play a critical leadership role in achieving operational targets and maintaining high biosecurity standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all poultry production operations, ensuring optimal flock performance and productivity
  • Oversee large-scale automated layer systems and ensure efficient day-to-day operations
  • Implement and maintain strict biosecurity, disease prevention, and flock health management protocols
  • Supervise poultry nutrition programs to ensure optimal feed efficiency and egg production
  • Monitor production performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage hatchery, housing, feeding, and environmental control systems effectively
  • Lead, train, and supervise farm teams to ensure operational discipline and performance standards
  • Coordinate with veterinary and technical teams to manage disease outbreaks and preventive health strategies
  • Ensure compliance with animal welfare standards and industry regulations
  • Prepare operational reports and provide strategic input to senior management

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in poultry production operations
  • Proven experience managing large-scale automated layer systems is required
  • Strong knowledge of poultry nutrition, flock health, and disease control and prevention
  • Solid experience in commercial egg production systems
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing farm operations and technical teams
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities
