We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounts Officer to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, supporting financial reporting, and contributing to sound financial management across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
Transaction Processing & General Ledger Management
You will:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and within established timelines.
- Verify invoices, supporting documents, approvals, and payment schedules before processing.
- Record financial transactions accurately in the general ledger.
- Maintain subsidiary ledgers and reconcile them with the general ledger.
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, journal entries, and ledger reconciliations.
- Maintain well-organized electronic and physical accounting records to support audit readiness.
Reconciliations & Cash Management
You will:
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Perform supplier, customer, and inter-company account reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor cash receipts and payments to ensure accurate recording.
- Maintain accurate cash and bank balances.
Financial Reporting & Budget Support
You will:
- Prepare monthly management reports, including:
- Trial Balance
- Accounts Receivable Ageing Analysis
- Accounts Payable Reports
- Cash Position Reports
- General Ledger Schedules
- Support the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
- Perform variance analysis by comparing actual results against budget.
- Generate timely financial reports to support management decision-making.
Statutory Compliance & Internal Controls
You will:
- Prepare and submit statutory tax returns, including PAYE, VAT, and Withholding Tax (WHT), within required deadlines.
- Prepare and submit SSNIT contributions accurately and on time.
- Maintain statutory records and tax schedules.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing accurate documentation.
- Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the continuous improvement of internal controls and financial processes.
Stakeholder & Business Support
You will:
- Respond professionally to supplier and customer account enquiries.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables to improve collections.
- Work closely with internal departments to ensure accurate financial documentation.
- Provide financial information and analysis to support operational decision-making.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should possess:
Education
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Progress toward a professional accounting qualification such as ICA Ghana, ACCA, or CIMA will be an added advantage.
Experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of relevant post-National Service experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience working in a structured corporate environment will be an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, SAP, or other ERP systems.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Sound understanding of Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) tax regulations and SSNIT contribution requirements.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting principles and accounting practices.

- Improved cash collections and effective management of outstanding receivables.
- Audit readiness with minimal audit findings.
