Role Overview

The Accounts Officer will support the finance function by ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, effective cash flow management, and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. This role requires a detail-oriented and dependable professional who can maintain high standards of financial integrity.


Key Responsibilities

  • Record, process, and reconcile financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and year-end financial reports
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and monitor cash flow
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance
  • Prepare and assist with statutory filings, including VAT, SSNIT, and PAYE
  • Assist in budget monitoring and cost control processes
  • Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 2–3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

Skills and Competencies

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Integrity and professionalism in handling financial information
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools is an advantage
