Position Summary

We seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team in Bolgatanga. The successful candidate will manage the full accounts payable function, ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, and maintain strong financial controls in line with company policies and regulatory standards.

You will play a critical role in supporting financial accuracy, vendor relationships, and operational efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Review, verify, and process supplier invoices accurately and promptly.

  • Match purchase orders, goods received notes, and invoices to ensure compliance with internal controls.

  • Prepare payment schedules and process payments within agreed timelines.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records.

  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and statutory requirements.

  • Liaise effectively with internal departments and external vendors to resolve payment-related issues.


Educational & Professional Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.

  • Professional qualification (completed or in progress) such as ICA Ghana, ACCA, or CIMA is an added advantage.

  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ proven experience in accounts payable or a related finance role.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
