Role Purpose

The Administrative Assistant – Transport Unit provides essential administrative and operational support to ensure the efficient coordination of transport activities. The role focuses on maintaining accurate records, supporting logistics operations, and enhancing overall fleet and transport efficiency.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage transport schedules, driver logs, and vehicle maintenance records to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Coordinate and track deliveries while liaising with branches to ensure timely and efficient supply chain activities.
  • Perform administrative duties including filing, data entry, correspondence, and reporting on fuel usage and transport expenses.
  • Process transport-related payments, invoices, and requisitions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain inventory of transport supplies and support compliance documentation such as licenses and insurance records.
  • Assist the Transport Manager in scheduling meetings and preparing transport performance reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of administrative experience, preferably within transport or logistics operations.

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Basic knowledge of fleet management systems or transport coordination tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively and perform well in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
