Position Summary
The Assistant Manager supports the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, leading staff, enhancing customer experiences, and ensuring compliance with company policies and operational standards. The role requires strong leadership, sound business judgment, and a commitment to delivering outstanding hospitality services.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising the daily operations of the restaurant and lounge to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Support the General Manager in operational planning, decision-making, and the execution of business strategies.
- Coordinate staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet operational demands.
- Supervise team performance, provide coaching, and promote a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health, safety, hygiene, and food safety standards.
- Monitor business performance and recommend initiatives to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
- Support the planning and implementation of marketing campaigns, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Analyze sales and marketing performance and prepare reports for management.
- Assist with inventory management, stock control, and cost optimization.
- Monitor cash handling procedures and support financial accountability.
- Foster effective collaboration across departments to achieve business objectives.
- Perform other duties assigned by management to support business operations.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Hotel Management, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry.
- Proven experience managing restaurant, lounge, or food and beverage operations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Experience in business planning, operational management, and service delivery.
