Automobile Workshop Supervisor

Location: Adukrom, Okere District, Ghana
Employment Type: Full-Time

To support our expanding fleet operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Automobile Workshop Supervisor to oversee our workshop activities and ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable maintenance of resort vehicles.

Role Purpose

The Automobile Workshop Supervisor will lead and coordinate all workshop operations, ensuring the effective maintenance, repair, and servicing of resort vehicles. The successful candidate will supervise technical staff, uphold safety and quality standards, and ensure all vehicles are maintained in optimal condition to support seamless resort operations.

Key Responsibilities

Workshop Operations Management

  • Plan, organise, and supervise daily workshop operations to ensure efficient workflow and service delivery.
  • Allocate repair and maintenance tasks to technicians and mechanics based on skill level, workload, and urgency.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion of all assigned maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Diagnose complex vehicle faults and provide technical guidance and support to workshop staff.

Maintenance, Inventory & Reporting

  • Monitor stock levels of spare parts, tools, and workshop consumables to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Coordinate the procurement of spare parts, tools, and materials as required.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of workshop equipment, machinery, and tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle servicing, maintenance schedules, and repair activities.
  • Prepare regular workshop performance reports and operational statistics for management review.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure strict compliance with occupational health and safety regulations within the workshop environment.
  • Promote the safe and proper use of workshop tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Investigate, document, and report workplace accidents, incidents, and safety concerns promptly.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures to minimise operational risks.

Leadership & Continuous Improvement

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and technical support to workshop personnel.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop efficiency and service quality.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and high performance within the workshop team.

Qualifications, Experience & Competencies

Qualifications

  • Diploma, Higher National Diploma (HND), or Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in automobile repair and maintenance.
  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience will be an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of fuel and electric vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair techniques.
  • Good understanding of workshop operations and fleet maintenance practices.

  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.

  • High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Proficiency in workshop management systems and basic computer applications.
