Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled, creative, and passionate Baker to join our production team. The successful candidate will prepare a variety of baked goods to meet quality standards, maintain consistency in taste and presentation, and contribute to the smooth daily operations of the bakery.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in producing high-quality baked products.

Key Responsibilities

Baking & Food Preparation

  • Prepare and bake a variety of bakery products including bread, pastries, cakes, and other confectioneries.
  • Follow standardized recipes and production guidelines to ensure consistency in quality and taste.
  • Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients accurately for production.
  • Decorate and present baked products in an appealing and professional manner.

Quality Control

  • Ensure all baked products meet quality, freshness, and hygiene standards.
  • Monitor baking times and temperatures to achieve optimal results.
  • Inspect ingredients and finished products to maintain consistency and safety.
  • Identify and report any product quality issues to management.

Kitchen Hygiene & Safety

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized baking environment at all times.
  • Follow strict food safety and hygiene standards in all baking activities.
  • Ensure proper cleaning of baking equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
  • Store ingredients properly to preserve freshness and prevent contamination.

Inventory & Production Support

  • Assist in monitoring baking ingredients and report shortages.
  • Support daily production planning and preparation schedules.
  • Help manage stock rotation to ensure freshness of ingredients.
  • Assist in receiving and organizing bakery supplies.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Support team members during peak production periods.
  • Follow instructions from senior bakers and supervisors.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and efficient team environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Basic education is required.
  • Previous experience in baking, pastry preparation, or a bakery environment is preferred.
  • Certificate or training in baking, pastry arts, or culinary arts will be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices is desirable.
