Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Sustainability Data Project Manager to lead the management, analysis, and reporting of sustainability-related data across projects and programs. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring data quality, supporting project implementation, generating actionable insights, and driving informed decision-making that advances sustainability objectives.
This role requires strong project management, analytical, and stakeholder engagement skills, along with a passion for sustainability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of sustainability data projects.
- Develop project plans, timelines, deliverables, and reporting frameworks.
- Coordinate project activities and ensure successful execution within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Monitor project performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Data Management & Analysis
- Manage the collection, validation, organization, and maintenance of sustainability-related data.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple projects and reporting systems.
- Analyze data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance indicators.
- Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualization tools to support decision-making.
Sustainability Reporting
- Prepare regular sustainability reports and project updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the measurement and reporting of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) indicators.
- Ensure compliance with project reporting requirements and sustainability frameworks.
- Translate complex data into meaningful insights and recommendations.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with project teams, partners, clients, and external stakeholders to gather and manage data requirements.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and support on data management processes and reporting standards.
- Build strong working relationships to ensure effective project delivery.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Identify opportunities to improve data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
- Support the implementation of digital tools and systems that enhance data management efficiency.
- Promote best practices in project management, sustainability reporting, and data governance.
- Contribute to organizational learning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Statistics, Project Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in data management, project management, sustainability reporting, or related disciplines.
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder projects and delivering results in dynamic environments.
- Strong understanding of data quality, reporting frameworks, and project management methodologies.
- Experience working with sustainability, environmental, social impact, or ESG-related projects is highly desirable.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
