Job Description and Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a wide range of bread, rolls, pastries, cakes, and specialty baked products in line with The Ceiba Restaurant’s quality standards.
Follow standardized recipes, production schedules, and portion controls to ensure consistency and efficiency.
Ensure strict adherence to the restaurant’s NO MSG policy, food safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
Monitor dough preparation, fermentation, proofing, baking times, and temperatures to maintain product quality.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations in compliance with HACCP and sanitation regulations.
Assist in developing new baked products, seasonal items, and specialty offerings.
Manage ingredient handling, storage, and stock rotation (FIFO) to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
Support banquets, events, and high-volume service periods with timely production and delivery of baked goods.
Collaborate with pastry chefs, cooks, and kitchen management to meet daily production targets.
Report equipment issues, supply shortages, and quality concerns promptly to supervisors.
Requirements
Formal training or certification in Baking, Pastry, or Culinary Arts from a recognized institution is an advantage.
Minimum 2–4 years of professional baking experience, preferably in hotels, restaurants, or large-scale kitchens.
Strong knowledge of bread production, dough handling, baking techniques, and product consistency.
Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices (HACCP).
Ability to work early hours, weekends, and shifts in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail, consistency, and quality control.
Strong teamwork, reliability, and time management skills.
Passion for baking and commitment to delivering high-quality products.
