Job Summary

The poultry farm seeks a dedicated and experienced Brooder House Supervisor to oversee early-stage poultry (chick) management and ensure optimal growth conditions. The successful candidate will supervise brooding operations, maintain strict environmental controls, and support healthy flock development during the critical early growth phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all brooding house operations and ensure optimal conditions for chick development.
• Monitor temperature, ventilation, lighting, and hygiene standards within the brooder facility.
• Ensure proper feeding, watering, and vaccination schedules are strictly followed.
• Observe chick health and behaviour and report any abnormalities promptly.
• Enforce biosecurity and sanitation protocols to prevent disease outbreaks.
• Supervise and guide farm workers assigned to brooding operations.
• Maintain accurate records of flock performance, mortality, and feed consumption.
• Coordinate with veterinary and production teams to ensure flock health and productivity.
• Ensure proper cleaning and preparation of brooding houses between production cycles.
• Support continuous improvement in brooding efficiency and survival rates.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Relevant qualification or certification in Poultry Production, Animal Science, Agriculture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in broiler or brooding house management.
• Strong understanding of brooding practices, chick management, and poultry health.
• Ability to supervise and lead a small team effectively.
• Good observation, reporting, and record-keeping skills.
• Strong commitment to hygiene, biosecurity, and animal welfare standards.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding agricultural environment.
