We are seeking a highly capable and business-focused Business Operations Manager (IT) to bridge business needs with technology solutions and drive operational excellence across our business systems.


Position Summary

The Business Operations Manager (IT) will serve as the key link between business functions and IT, ensuring that technology solutions effectively support business objectives. The role will oversee business applications, drive process optimization, and ensure reliable service delivery across critical systems.

This role requires a strong blend of business understanding, technical expertise, and leadership capability to ensure IT services deliver measurable business value.


Key Accountabilities

Business Alignment & Strategy

  • Lead the alignment of business requirements with IT solutions by engaging stakeholders to define, validate, and implement scalable and efficient systems.
  • Act as the primary interface between business units and IT, ensuring clear communication, prioritization, and delivery of business-focused solutions.
  • Drive business process optimization by identifying opportunities for automation, digital transformation, and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to IT strategy and enterprise architecture aligned with organizational and digital transformation goals.
  • Track, measure, and ensure realization of business benefits from IT investments and initiatives.

Service Delivery & Operations Management

  • Oversee end-user support services, ensuring efficient incident and service request management in line with ITIL standards.
  • Own the full lifecycle of business applications, including implementation, enhancement, performance monitoring, and retirement.
  • Ensure application availability, reliability, and performance through defined KPIs, SLAs, and continuous monitoring.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, user experience, and business value.
  • Ensure strict adherence to change, release, and configuration management processes.
  • Drive data governance practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, ownership, and integrity across business systems.
  • Oversee disaster recovery planning and business continuity readiness for all critical applications.

Governance, Projects & Leadership

  • Ensure compliance with information security standards (ISO 27001, NIST) and internal IT governance policies.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure performance, value delivery, and cost efficiency.
  • Act as business lead or product owner for IT initiatives, ensuring solutions meet business requirements and are fully operationally ready.
  • Lead and develop the business systems and applications team, building capability, accountability, and high performance.
  • Provide regular reporting on system performance, risks, issues, and improvement opportunities to senior leadership.

Key Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in IT operations, business systems management, or a similar role.

Technical & Functional Expertise

  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, enterprise applications, database technologies, and IT service management frameworks (ITIL).
  • Proven experience managing IT projects, vendors, and business-critical systems in complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of information security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into effective and scalable technology solutions.

  • Proven leadership ability with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
