Job Purpose

You will deliver engaging and practical lessons in Career Technology and Pre-Technical Skills. You will equip students with foundational technical knowledge and hands-on competencies, while preparing them effectively for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

Key Responsibilities

You will:

• Plan and deliver structured lessons in Career Technology and Pre-Technical Skills.
• Teach selected aspects of Home Economics as part of the curriculum.
• Prepare students thoroughly for the BECE, ensuring strong academic performance.
• Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials aligned with the curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback.
• Create a safe, engaging, and practical learning environment that encourages participation.
• Integrate theory with hands-on activities to enhance student understanding.
• Maintain accurate student records and contribute to academic reporting.
• Participate actively in school programs, staff meetings, and professional development activities.

Key Requirements

Education

You hold a Degree or Diploma in one of the following areas:

• Education
• Home Economics
• Technical Education
• Or a related field

Experience

You have:

• A minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in Career Technology or Pre-Technical Skills.
• Proven experience preparing students for the BECE.
• Strong ability to teach both Pre-Technical Skills and aspects of Home Economics.
