We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to support financial transactions and contribute to the smooth operation of our business activities.

Job Summary

The Cashier will manage daily financial transactions, maintain accurate payment records, and provide excellent customer service while supporting the company’s accounting and financial operations. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy, accountability, and professionalism in all cash handling activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process cash, cheque, and electronic payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Issue receipts, invoices, and payment records to customers and clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily financial transactions and reconcile cash balances.
  • Support accounting operations by preparing transaction reports and maintaining financial documentation.
  • Monitor and record all incoming and outgoing payments.
  • Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of cash and company financial resources.
  • Assist with basic bookkeeping and accounting duties when required.
  • Respond to customer inquiries professionally and provide excellent service at all times.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial records and sensitive company information.

Experience and Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in cashiering, accounting, or financial administration.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial record management.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude with professional conduct.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and accountability in financial operations.
