Position Summary

We are seeking responsible, safety-conscious, and physically fit Chainsaw Operators to support our forestry harvesting operations. In this role, you will carry out tree felling and related tasks in line with operational standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.

The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring efficient harvesting operations while maintaining the highest levels of safety and equipment care.

Key Responsibilities

As a Chainsaw Operator, you will:

• Fell, debranch, top, and cross-cut marked trees as assigned by management and supervisors.
• Ensure all safety and quality standards are strictly followed during all harvesting operations.
• Inspect chainsaws and ensure all safety features are in good working condition before use.
• Safely maintain, service, and carry out minor repairs on chainsaws and related equipment in line with standard operating procedures.
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times and ensure it is in good condition and fit for purpose.
• Report unsafe acts, hazards, and equipment issues promptly to the Felling or Harvesting Supervisor.
• Follow all operational instructions and adhere strictly to workplace safety and environmental guidelines.
• Support team efficiency by maintaining discipline, focus, and cooperation in the field.

Eligibility Requirements

• Minimum of a Junior High School (JHS) certificate.
• Physically and mentally fit for field-based forestry work.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and consistently.
• Dependable, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must possess a valid NHIS card and SSNIT number.
