Job Description and Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all stewarding, dishwashing, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness operations across assigned outlet(s).

  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP) at all times.

  • Manage stewarding staff schedules, task assignments, and performance to maintain smooth kitchen support operations.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, stores, equipment, and back-of-house facilities.

  • Ensure proper handling, cleaning, storage, and inventory of kitchen equipment, utensils, and service ware.

  • Coordinate waste management, recycling, and sustainability initiatives in line with Safari World’s eco-friendly operations.

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory health requirements.

  • Support kitchen teams during peak operations, banquets, and large events to ensure uninterrupted service.

  • Train stewarding staff on hygiene practices, equipment handling, chemical usage, and safety procedures.

  • Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure cost-effective procurement and usage.


Requirements

  • Minimum 4–6 years of experience in stewarding, housekeeping, or kitchen support operations, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.

  • Solid knowledge of food safety, hygiene regulations, and sanitation standards (HACCP).

  • Proven ability to manage large support teams in high-volume hospitality environments.

  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and efficiency under pressure.

  • Experience in waste management, equipment maintenance, and sustainability practices is an advantage.

  • Good communication skills and strong attention to detail.

  • High level of discipline, reliability, and commitment to operational excellence.
