Job Description and Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to standardized recipes and quality specifications.
Ensure strict compliance with The Ceiba Restaurant’s NO MSG policy, food safety standards, and hygiene procedures at all times.
Follow production schedules and station assignments to support smooth kitchen operations during service periods.
Maintain consistency in portioning, taste, and presentation of all dishes.
Assist in food preparation, mise en place, and plating for à la carte service, banquets, and events.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, equipment, and storage areas in line with HACCP standards.
Monitor ingredient freshness, proper storage, and stock rotation (FIFO) to reduce waste and maintain quality.
Work collaboratively with chefs, kitchen supervisors, and other team members to meet daily service targets.
Report equipment faults, supply shortages, and quality concerns promptly to supervisors.
Comply with all health, safety, and company policies at all times.
Requirements
Formal culinary training or certification from a recognized institution is an advantage.
Minimum 2–4 years of professional kitchen experience, preferably in restaurants, hotels, or large-scale food service operations.
Strong knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen operations.
Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends, evenings, and shifts.
Strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
High attention to detail, consistency, and commitment to food quality.
Passion for cooking and continuous learning in a professional kitchen environment.
