Job Summary
The Customer Service Officer – Financial, Digital and Life Skills Training will deliver high-quality financial, digital, and life skills education to clients and community groups while providing excellent customer service. The role involves facilitating training sessions, supporting client engagement, promoting financial literacy, and contributing to the successful implementation of programmes that enhance financial inclusion and customer empowerment.
The successful candidate will build strong relationships with clients, encourage active participation in training programmes, and support the organization’s mission of improving livelihoods through knowledge and access to responsible financial services.
Key Responsibilities
The Customer Service Officer will:
- Deliver financial, digital, and life skills training to clients and community groups using approved training materials.
- Facilitate engaging and interactive learning sessions that encourage participation and knowledge retention.
- Educate clients on responsible financial management, budgeting, savings, borrowing, and digital financial services.
- Promote financial literacy initiatives that support customer empowerment and sustainable livelihoods.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly and professionally to client enquiries.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor participant attendance and maintain accurate training records.
- Prepare reports on training activities, participant engagement, and programme outcomes.
- Support awareness campaigns and community outreach initiatives to increase programme participation.
- Collaborate with branch teams to ensure seamless client support and service delivery.
- Continuously improve training delivery through feedback, learning, and professional development.
- Comply with company policies, operational procedures, and safeguarding requirements at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
- An HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, Business Administration, Economics, or another related discipline.
- One (1) to two (2) years of relevant professional experience in customer service, financial education, training, community development, social work, youth development, microfinance, or a related field.
- Good working knowledge of microfinance operations in Ghana will be an advantage.
- Experience delivering education, training, or community-based programmes will be highly desirable.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Good understanding of financial literacy, digital literacy, and customer education principles.
- Basic knowledge of adult learning methodologies and facilitation techniques.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build trust and positive relationships.
- Passion for financial education, youth empowerment, and community development.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and continuously improve programme delivery.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
