We are seeking an experienced and visionary Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) to support the Institute’s strategic transformation and operational excellence.
Job Summary
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) will serve as a strategic and operational leader responsible for driving the execution of CIMG’s strategic agenda, institutional transformation, membership growth, digital innovation, and revenue expansion. The successful candidate will work closely with the CEO, Governing Council, and stakeholders to strengthen CIMG’s national and international influence while ensuring operational efficiency and long-term sustainability.

Key Accountabilities
1. Strategy Execution & Transformation
- Lead the execution of CIMG’s three-year strategic plan across all functions.
- Establish and manage the Strategy Execution & Transformation Office.
- Translate strategic initiatives into operational roadmaps, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
- Drive organisational restructuring, process optimisation, and institutional strengthening initiatives.
- Provide regular progress reports to the CEO, NEC, and Governing Council.
2. Membership Growth & Community Engagement
- Develop and implement a data-driven membership growth strategy.
- Lead membership segmentation, acquisition, retention, and engagement initiatives.
- Oversee regional expansion and ambassador programmes.
- Strengthen the member value proposition through innovative and tailored offerings.
- Drive member participation in governance, events, and professional programmes.
3. Education, Certification & Student Mentorship
- Lead the establishment and scaling of student mentorship initiatives.
- Oversee the development of:
- Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Professional certification programmes
- Executive education and industry training initiatives
- Build strategic partnerships with universities, regulators, and professional bodies.
- Ensure academic programmes align with CIMG standards and GTEC regulations.
4. Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Design and implement diversified revenue generation strategies covering:
- Membership revenue
- Training and certifications
- Sponsorships and partnerships
- Research and consultancy services
- Identify new business opportunities and monetisation initiatives.
- Lead fundraising and strategic partnership efforts, particularly for the CIMG building project.
5. Research, Thought Leadership & Industry Influence
- Position CIMG as a leading knowledge authority in marketing.
- Oversee the development of:
- Ghana Regional Brand Index
- Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI)
- Publications and professional journals
- Drive thought leadership through media engagement, policy discussions, and industry platforms.
6. Advocacy, Partnerships & Global Positioning
- Lead stakeholder engagement with:
- Government and regulatory institutions
- Private sector organizations and industry bodies
- Academic and international institutions
- Drive Pan-African and global strategic partnerships.
- Position CIMG as a leading voice in national and regional policy discussions.
7. Digital Transformation & Innovation
- Lead the development of a digital-first CIMG ecosystem, including:
- LMS and digital learning platforms
- Member portals and CRM systems
- Data and analytics infrastructure
- Promote data-driven decision-making across the Institute.
- Explore emerging technologies such as AI and automation to enhance service delivery and transition CIMG examinations to fully online platforms within the strategic period.
8. Operations, Governance & Institutional Excellence
- Oversee the efficient functioning of the Secretariat.
- Ensure compliance with governance structures and regulatory requirements.
- Implement performance management systems across departments.
- Strengthen organisational culture, talent development, and accountability.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Act as second-in-command and serve as executive decision-maker in the CEO’s absence.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Foster a high-performance, innovation-driven culture.
- Serve as a visible industry leader and ambassador for CIMG.

Qualifications & Experience
- Professional Marketing Qualification such as ProM, DipM, or CIMG Chartered Marketer preferred.
- Must be a fully paid-up member of CIMG.
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Strategy, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10–15 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years at executive leadership level.
