Position Summary
AT Ghana is seeking an experienced and strategic Director, Product and Commercial Marketing to lead the development, management, and commercial success of our enterprise product portfolio. The successful candidate will define product strategy, drive commercial performance, lead marketing innovation, and ensure alignment between business solutions, market demand, and organizational objectives. This role requires a strong commercial leader with deep telecom industry expertise and a proven ability to deliver growth in competitive markets.

Key Responsibilities
Product & Proposition Development and Management
- Develop new product and service proposals for Business Solutions using market intelligence, competitive analysis, and financial modeling.
- Build robust business cases that demonstrate clear return on investment for new initiatives.
- Lead the end-to-end development of new products and services, ensuring delivery within agreed cost, quality, and timeline targets.
- Manage the lifecycle of products and services, using P&L performance data to guide investment, enhancement, or withdrawal decisions.
- Oversee product retirement processes and ensure seamless migration pathways for customers to alternative solutions.
- Ensure clear communication and change management plans are in place for all product transitions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop competitive pricing strategies that achieve targeted margins across all offerings.
- Partner with marketing communications to design and execute effective product messaging, brand positioning, and awareness campaigns.
- Design and launch campaigns that sustain and grow in-life product performance within the Business Solutions portfolio.
Commercial Operations
- Lead the commercial strategy for the Enterprise Business Unit (EBU), ensuring alignment with overall organizational objectives.
- Define and execute commercial business plans that support revenue growth and market expansion.
- Provide strategic direction for go-to-market initiatives, including product positioning, pricing, channel strategy, customer experience, and launch execution.
- Analyze telecommunications market trends and translate insights into actionable business and product strategies.
- Lead product performance management processes and provide data-driven insights to support executive decision-making.
- Establish and enforce commercial governance frameworks across the business unit.
- Develop competitive and innovative commercial propositions for complex enterprise deals using market intelligence and financial analysis.
- Analyze product sales performance, hardware costs, and inventory levels to optimize profitability.
- Collaborate with Bid Management and cross-functional teams to define deal scope, validate costs, identify efficiencies, and develop winning proposals.
Marketing & Innovation
- Define and own the marketing strategy for the Enterprise Business Unit.
- Ensure full alignment of marketing initiatives with commercial and sales strategies.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that strengthen product adoption and brand positioning.
- Drive digital innovation initiatives that enhance customer engagement, loyalty, and business growth opportunities.
- Lead initiatives that foster continuous innovation across enterprise products and services.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a similar leadership role within the telecommunications industry.
- Strong commercial and sales background with proven enterprise business expertise.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in complex or turnaround business environments.
- Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
