Key Responsibilities
As the Dispatch/Fleet Officer, you will:
- Assign, coordinate, and monitor daily deliveries using dispatch management systems.
- Track riders and drivers to ensure timely, safe, and efficient deliveries.
- Optimize delivery routes to improve operational efficiency and reduce delays.
- Manage fleet availability and monitor the condition of company vehicles.
- Schedule, coordinate, and follow up on routine vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Support the onboarding and training of riders and drivers on operational procedures.
- Resolve delivery-related issues by collaborating with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
- Maintain accurate dispatch, fleet, and operational records.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in dispatch, fleet management, logistics, operations, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of dispatch systems, GPS tracking, and fleet coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
- Good understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and fleet operations.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to prioritize tasks and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong sense of accountability, teamwork, and customer service.
