Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Dzorwulu, Accra

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to lead our financial management function and support the organization’s mission through sound financial stewardship. The successful candidate will oversee financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and internal controls while ensuring the efficient use of resources across all programmes and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes.
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, donors, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop and monitor budgets to ensure effective financial performance and cost control.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, accounting standards, and organizational policies.
  • Strengthen internal controls and implement effective financial risk management practices.
  • Manage grant finances and ensure compliance with donor financial reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
  • Oversee payroll processing, statutory payments, and tax compliance.
  • Provide financial analysis and strategic advice to support organizational decision-making.
  • Supervise and mentor finance staff while promoting continuous professional development.
  • Collaborate with programme teams to ensure sound financial management throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, ICA Ghana, CPA, or an equivalent certification.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in finance or accounting, with at least two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Experience managing donor-funded projects, development programmes, or non-profit finances is an added advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, budgeting, taxation, and financial compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
