Role Purpose

Spark MicroGrants is seeking a committed and proactive District Coordinator to lead coordination efforts at the district level in Osino. You will actively strengthen relationships with government stakeholders, support community-driven development processes, and ensure effective implementation of Spark’s programmes in alignment with organisational standards.


Key Responsibilities

You will actively:

  • Coordinate and support the implementation of community-driven development programmes at district level
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with district-level government stakeholders and key partners
  • Facilitate collaboration between communities, NGOs, and government agencies
  • Support and monitor facilitated community meetings and participatory planning processes
  • Ensure effective coordination of multi-stakeholder projects and programme activities
  • Collect, analyze, and report field data to support programme learning and decision-making
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports on project progress and outcomes
  • Support capacity-building initiatives within communities and partner institutions
  • Promote adherence to Spark’s model, values, and implementation standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in community development, NGO programming, or rural development
  • Proven experience building and maintaining district-level government relationships
  • Experience working in multi-stakeholder coordination roles
  • Experience with community-driven development models is an added advantage
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, writing, and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently
  • Ability to speak Twi is an added advantage

OTHER INFORMATION:

  • Location will be Osino and Walewale with ~30% travel
  • We will agree on learning and performance objectives for an initial probation period lasting three months from onboarding.
