Position Summary
Rabotech Ghana seeks to appoint two (2) experienced Drill Rig Trainers to deliver high-quality technical training and competency development for drill rig operators and field personnel.
In this role, you will actively train, mentor, and assess learners to ensure they operate drilling equipment safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. You will play a key role in strengthening operational performance through structured, practical training programs.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Deliver hands-on and classroom-based training on drill rig operations, maintenance, and safety procedures
- Demonstrate correct drilling techniques and safe equipment handling in field environments
- Develop and update training materials, modules, and assessment tools
- Conduct competency evaluations and provide clear performance feedback to trainees
- Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards
- Support onboarding and upskilling of new and existing drill operators
- Maintain accurate training documentation, records, and progress reports
- Collaborate with operational teams to align training with site requirements and industry best practices
Educational Requirements
You must possess:
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Professional certification in drilling operations, heavy equipment handling, or technical training (an added advantage)
- Train-the-Trainer certification (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience Requirements
You must have:
- At least 3–5 years of practical experience in drill rig operations, mining, construction, or technical training
- Demonstrated ability to train and mentor technical personnel in field-based environments
- Strong understanding of drilling systems, hydraulics, and operational safety standards
