Position Summary

Rabotech Ghana is recruiting six experienced and safety-conscious Shot Firers to carry out blasting operations in accordance with approved plans and safety regulations. You will execute controlled blasts, ensure safe handling of explosives, and support efficient mining and construction operations in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute blasting activities according to approved blast designs and site plans
• Handle, transport, and load explosives safely in compliance with regulations
• Inspect blast areas to ensure all safety conditions are met before detonation
• Set up, connect, and test blasting systems prior to firing
• Carry out controlled blasting operations with precision and safety
• Ensure proper clearance of personnel and equipment from blast zones
• Monitor blast effects and report outcomes to the Drill & Blast Engineer or supervisor
• Maintain accurate records of explosives usage and blasting activities
• Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures

Educational Requirements

• Senior High School Certificate (SHS) or equivalent qualification
• Certified training in Shot Firing, Explosives Handling, or Blasting Operations will be an added advantage
• Valid Shot Firer license or permit (where applicable)

Experience & Skills

• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in blasting or mining operations
• Strong understanding of explosives safety standards and regulations
• Ability to work in high-risk and physically demanding environments
• High attention to detail and strong safety awareness
• Good communication and ability to follow technical instructions
• Team-oriented mindset with discipline and reliability
